Tehran is situated on the southern of the Alborz Mountains. It lies at an elevation of 1,1000 meters above the Caspian Sea level and it is the latest and the most populous city of the Iran and also ranks among the prominent cities of the World. Tehran which means "warm slope: , was a village in suburb of the ancient Iranian Capital of RAyy, after the fall of Rayy by the Mongols in 1220 AD, it residents moved to Tehran.

The selection conflicts which was followed by blind destructiveness, plunder a massacre launched by the Mongols (1218-1334 AD) brought about the destruction of Rayy in 1220, and paved the way for increase in population of Tehran.

From Saharivar 1320/ September 1974, and over the course of subsequent flour decades, the shape of the city heavily altered, the city witnessed the erection of the modern public and governmental buildings. On February 1st 1979 Tehran witnessed the largest ever multitude of masses who gathered, occupying a 30KM distance, to welcome the return of their Imam Khomeini from exile. During the imposed war, Tehran, was also encountered with many predicaments.

For many times it was reined and hit by more than 120 long-range missiles. With the ending of war a few era has started, with the towards restoration, recognition and development based on sheer energy and constructiveness.
